I know it sounds like an odd thing to say, but congratulations. Nadine, I know you've been thinking about doing something like this for some time. I think what you guys are doing is brilliant and important. I can only imagine the kind of logistical and emotional hurdles you will all face in the next month as you bring these stories to us. Great idea to do this. Good luck. Stay safe. I look forward to following your stories. I'll be thinking of you.

I just wanted to say I think what you are doing is amazing, bold, incredible, and above all very courageous in its own way. I cannot imagine the emotional toll of covering a story like Haiti, for instance. Just the thought of all those bodies gives me the shivers. I am grateful to people like you who face crisis head on and report on it. Félicitations, bon courage, et bonne chance!

You are all amazing, stay SAFE. I can only imagine what you are all going through. I know that you have a great team back here in Canada that is doing all that they can for you but there on the ground you are very much on your own. I hope that this morning's after shock/quake did not shake you all up too much and that you are all as well as you can be.
You are in my prayers as is Haiti.

    Great blog.

Nico we were together in Haiti at the Canadian embassy together. I was the only black photographer at the embassy.
My colleague Allen McInnis replaced me after two weeks and has the bag you left behind. You can contact me at pcarpenter@thegazette.canwest.com

Thank you for all you are doing! I know God will make a way for you to continue to tell the world what you see and hear. Have you heard anything about Cotin? (Small voodoo village 20+ miles outside Port au Prince?

This is the song of Jaffa who you contacted following the earthquake asking for his assistance. Since he had lost family members and his home he was unable to comply. He is home now.

watch the video the title translates to "Cursed Tuesday"

great work here - these small but in-depth stories give us a glimpse into everyday lives of haitians - unlike much of the mainstream media -
